Chateau de Raissac
A family domain for six generations, Chateau de Raissac is now run by Gustave and Marie Viennet. The domain incorporates a diverse range of terrois, and over the last 15 – 20 years have care has been taken to match the best grape variety to each parcel of land, meaning that after vinification each wine truly reflects the land the grapes were grown on.
Today they grow a wide range of grape varieties from around the world, as diverse as Merlot and Pinot Noir, or Chardonnay and Vermentino. From these grapes they an interesting range of varietal wines, as well as some equally refined blends.
All of the wine is made and aged in the perfect conditions of their lovely semi-subterranean cellar, which can be seen from the adjacent tasting room where the family’s artistic talents can be seen while appreciating their well crafted wines.
