Merlot

Domaine des 1000 Roses
Merlot 2007

Vin de Pays des Coteaux du Libron

This wine is deeply coloured, mainly purple with a few bluish tints. The nose is complex with smoke overlaying raisin, blue fruits, spice, herbs, undergrowth and a touch of chocolate noted. The flavours in the wine tend to replicate the nose, but also include notes of cherry, plum and a little more spice. This wine is well balanced and has lovely fine grained ripe tannins, a lovely freshness and good length. This is benchmark Languedoc Merlot.
