Syrah 2006

Plums and bramble fruit are to the fore on the nose and in the mouth of this Syrah, but there is so much else with blueberries, black olives, garrigues herbs, vanilla, deep spices and a hint of mocha. It develops nicely in the mouth and on the length. This is a classy, well balanced wine that will be superb with food.

Maturity: Drinking nicely on the fruit now, but will undoubtedly improve over the next 2 -3 years and drink well over 5+ more.

Food: Currently excellent with strongly flavoured meats – wild boar, venison, rare peppered steak, or a steak with a sauce. In a year or two it will also be good with roasted meats and other game.
