Vin de Pays de l'Herault

This wine has a lovely ruby/garnet colour and an enticing nose of cassis, blackberry, black cherry, and intensely complex spice notably vanilla, pepper and oriental spices; some tertiary notes are also beginning to develop. The flavours tend to reflect the aromas, with the fruit to the fore, with the spice nicely complementing the fruit on the length. The tannins are carefully managed with a lovely fine-grained texture, as with all the wines from the Chemin des Reves, this wine has a lovely freshness and balance.

Maturity: lovely to drink now, it will continue to develop slowly and drink well over at least 3 – 5 years.

Food: try with cold meats and pates, stews and casseroles, vegetable tarts, or roasted root vegetables
Alcohol 13.5% abv or 10 units per bottle
