Costieres de Nimes Blanc 2009

Chateau Saint-Cyrgues
Costieres de Nimes Blanc 2009

An interesting and distinctive white wine made from 75% Roussanne and 25% Grenache Blanc. This wine has a lovely nose of pineapple and pears, with hints of lime, The flavours are similar, with the pinapple immediately followed by complex crushed pears (it is reminiscent of being in a cellar when they are making perry), and a lovely herbaciousness and a touch of white pepper on the long length. The balance is good with a lovely freshness.
