AOC Terrasses du Larzac

This deep ruby coloured wine has an elegant nose of black fruits, blackcurrant, garrigues herbs like thyme and sage, with menthol, and complex spice like mace and cardamom. The flavours are similar to the aromas, but with better definition and with more complexity, for example the black fruits resolve themselves into blackcurrant, bramble, a touch of mulberry and some bilberry, the spices are similarly delicious, and the garrigues herbs now tend more to bayleaf and rosemary. The tannins are ripe and very structured, with a lovely silky texture, the wine has a long persistence and is very well balanced.
