Ordering Wine
Wines are offered subject to availability, should a wine be listed on this site, but be unavailable to purchase in the desired quantity, then there is insufficient stock to meet your order. However, a reduced quantity may be purchased.
The minimum quantity of wine that can be ordered through the web site is six bottles, which may be in any combination of the wines listed. Should you want to purchase less than six bottles of wine then please contact us preferably through the contacts page or alternatively by telephone, or letter, and we will do our best to help.
Once you have made your selection of wine, then the checkout procedure will enable you to review your selection, and to modify it if desired, before proceeding to the order confirmation pages.
On receipt of an order an e-mail will be sent to you confirming the order, and that a transaction is to take place.
An e-mail will also be sent on dispatch of the wine.
Should you wish to modify any order that has not yet been dispatched, then please contact us as soon as possible preferably through the contact us page, or alternatively by telephone.

 

Dispatch of Orders
Aldeby Wines will normally process and dispatch your order within 1 – 2 working days; though rarely, at times of high demand it may not be possible to meet this timescale, in this case will inform you of the likely order processing delay in the order confirmation e-mail.
Couriers will then normally deliver your order within a further 2 – 3 days.

 

Delivery
Delivery of wine is expensive, which is why Aldeby Wines has decided to implement a minimum order quantity of six bottles. Aldeby Wines will absorb some of the costs associated with delivery, leaving the customer to pay for delivery at the following rates:

To help the couriers who will deliver your wine, please take care in specifying the delivery address, noting alternative arrangements if you are not found to be there. Please note that if you ask for wine to be left “in the garden shed”, “behind the gooseberry bushes”, or in any other place where the consignment is not signed for, then this is at your risk.

On receipt of the wine please check you have received the correct number of packages as specified on the delivery slip. If there is any obvious damage to the packages please note it on the delivery slip, making sure it appears on the copy retained by the delivery company. Please then report any breakages or missing wine to Aldeby Wines within 24 hours of receipt of the package.

 

Should the courriers be unable to deliver at the first attempt, they will leave a card. Please telephone the number on the card to make arrangements for delivery on a more convenient day.

 

Price Information
All prices quoted on this web site are in pounds sterling; they include VAT but exclude delivery. Aldeby Wines reserves the right to correct any inadvertent errors at any time. If an error is discovered during order processing, we will contact you to discuss whether you want to proceed with the purchase.

 

Offers, Promotions and Mixed Cases
Offers, Promotions and Mixed Cases will offer the wine drinker an even better value for money way of purchasing our wine.

Offers will occasionally appear on the site, and will mainly be used to clear stock, bin ends, etc. before the arrival of a new vintage of a wine, these will be offered on a strictly limited and as available basis.

Promotion Codes will occasionally be given to customers offering, for example, a small discount, or free delivery. The appropriate code should be entered in the appropriate box during the checkout process. Please note that all Promotions will be time limited and only one code may be used for any purchase. Please do not forget to enter your code during the checkout process, as any discounts can not be rectified after the order process is complete.

A number of Mixed Cases have carefully selected by Ian Webb our Director, these are designed to offer the customer an easy way of purchasing the specified wines. The price of a specified missed case will normally offer a small discount on the individual prices of the wines. Should some of the wines specified in the mixed cases become unavailable, then Aldeby Wines reserves the right to change the composition of the case without notice. However, Aldeby Wines undertakes to never change more than two bottles from the list specified for the case, and also undertakes that the value of any replacement bottles will equal or exceed the value of the bottles they replace.

 

Refunds
Aldeby Wines will not normally offer refunds on wine purchased, except in the following circumstances:
